Harry Reid, it's time for you to take action on Joe Lieberman. Period. But Democrats have been telling you this bit of common sense for awhile now, haven't they. What's it going to take, Harry? Joe has endorsed and campaigned nonstop for John McCain and yet you still protect his chairmanship of the Homeland Security Committee. This has gotta stop.
Anyway... tonight's Countdown with Keith Olbermann, which I've been looking forward to in order to see if KO would put Liz Trotta there, didn't disappoint.
He did, but due to her apology, she placed 3rd. Joe Lieberman took Worst Person in the World for his plans to speak at ...wait for it... Reverend Hagee's upcoming conference (yes, the same Hagee that praised Hitler as the hunter of Jews sent by God). Let that sink in.
But not only did Joe beat out Liz Trotta who laughed her head off about Obama being killed, he beat out Michelle Malkin for her insanely paranoid wondering on whether Dunkin Donuts should be boycotted because Rachel Ray wore a scarf that looked vaguely middle eastern in one of their commercials.
But I was glad to see that Keith took notice (god knows how many people here emailed him my Liz Trotta clip) and that made my night.
Senator Reid, there is no excuse for you to hold back on Joe Lieberman.
None.
There is no excuse you can offer (no, he's not going to vote differently if he's stripped of his position... his votes right now are just the same as they will be). Get him out of his chairmanship.
He has endorsed John McCain.
He campaigns constantly with John McCain.
He is one of the chairmen of the 527 group illegally colluding with McCain to produce anti-Obama ads.
Yet you say nothing, Senator Reid.
This isn't "disappointing", this is exactly what we've come to expect from Joe Lieberman. Senator Reid, if you find this disappointing, you're not paying attention and if you're not paying attention, we need a Senate Majority Leader who does and will on such basic things as this.
Get him the hell out of any leadership position in the Democratic Party that he spends every waking hour campaigning against. It's common sense at this point, Senator Reid.
Can you hear me now, Harry?
